The Festival organisers, from its very first event in 2006, takes care that while viewer are enloying films, thwe festival is framed by parallel events that help on spreading the scientific knowledge more effectively.
For its 12th edition, the festival’s theme will be “Research and Innovation”. Emphasizing the evolution of technology, we learn whether we can build a human brain, discover hidden secrets of space and know what animals think.
The aim of the Festival is for the spectators to get acquainted with the new achievements of science in an accessible and entertaining way. It is our great pleasure that through the Athens International Film Festival we will have the opportunity to meet you at a meeting of scientific knowledge as expressed in the various forms of art.
The event, as always with free entrance, will be held from 8 to 14 November 2018 at the Greek Film Archive Foundation (48, Iera Odos & 134-136 Megalou Alexandrou Str. GR-104 35 Kerameikos, Athens Greece).
